My sister is perhaps a bit... over-enthusiastic with the cutting shears. She decided to take care of trimming one of the bonsai unassisted over the weekend. The juniper will survive, though it seems to have fallen dormant due to the shock. Unfortunately, it dropped most of its leaves -- but I think Emiko may be in worse condition than the tree ( Read more... )

It takes quite a bit of effort to kill a juniper, by my limited understanding. I'm sure it will be quite fine.

The festivities will have to be Thursday or Friday, Seiichi. Genichirou traditionally has dinner with his family. No doubt you and I will be invited.

It does. It just needs time to recover, is all. I do think Emiko's more worse for wear over the entire ordeal.

Yes, but she's still upset. I told her last night she was being too hard on herself over it.
