Egggh, there is salt on my pears :(

I don't know why older Asian people, like my parents, insist on putting salt on nearly every fruit.  My mom says it brings out the sweetness.  I think it just makes it salty.

Bleh.

I sometimes put some salt on watermelon cause my dad's done it.
But pears? Weird...

I've put salt on pears and apples before, but only a little bit and only if the fruit isn't that sweet to begin with. It does bring out the sweetness more, but it depends on how much salt you use xD I haven't put enough to make it taste salty though.
