I find it funny that all of a sudden we've been gifted with several stories (or scenes in stories) that deal with either Don or Tim in the hospital hurt, but I don't mind as I do like hurt/comfort quite a lot. And they get well!

I think you did a masterful job here on Bub. I love how you threaded him throughout this first part of the story, and I feel as if you absolutely got him just right. He's the right combination of supportive but just a step away from Tim, gruff and yet telling how he'd waiting out a partner's injury so he knows what this feels like.

And Tim is perfectly Tim, I think. You've captured his anxiety really well. I could feel it all, his worry and concern and love and doubts and how he tries to convince himself everything will be fine even as he's imagining the very worst. Very realistic.

So glad Bub insists on taking him home for the night. Thank you so much for writing this story and sharing it with us! One I will be re-reading too.

Thank you again for such lovely, detailed feedback. I especially appreciate hearing that Bub worked well - I was rather nervous writing him in this fic, and it's always wonderful to hear that a characterization played out!
