matildabj tagged me to do this. I'd been sort-of thinking about it for a few days, since mistraltoes suggested I could do just five facts instead of 20, and I'd got up to three things. But I've had to cheat a lot by breaking some of them down to get to 20. It took about 20 minutes, but I'm definitely not tagging 20 people; most of my friends seem to have done it,

There was a nice cartoon on the Letters page of yesterday's Guardian of a Dalek hiding behind a sofa to watch the cricket on television.

I haven't been following the cricket at all, but I love that!

Yay for cauliflower cheese! I really must find a recipe so I can make some here.

Break the cauli into florets and steam them, but not for too long - let it be once you can jab it with a sharp knife.

Make a white sauce by melting a knob of butter, stirring in a spoonful of flour, then adding milk in small quantities and stirring until you have a smooth and creamy sauce. Grate as much cheese as you think you can fit in, add to sauce and stir in. You may add various other flavourings, such as mustard (especially whole-grain), sherry, or even turmeric if you're that way inclined.

Pour sauce over florets.
