I was pleased too, back in 2013, that they passed a photo of me with glasses. I didn't even try taking a photo without, as it seemed pointless since I would always be passing through passport control wearing them.
I did find on one occasion that one of their new super-duper automatic gates wouldn't let me through, but a friendly official advised me to try taking off my glasses, after which it opened for me even though I must have looked less like my photo without them. Perhaps too much light was reflecting off the lenses and it confused their image-recognition software, as I've passed through on a couple of other occasions without having to take them off.
It seems getting a new passport is significantly easier than here. The bureaucracy is incredible and they charge you with excessive money. And the clerks are unpleasant and so is the photographer (because you are not allowed to use other services but only theirs). And the design is "standard". Dull. Enjoy yours!
