Murray & Dodson

So, following the end of Scott & Bailey, my mind continued to run on my OTP Murray & Dodson, and particularly the images and possibilities conjured up in the final scene, and I found myself writing a short piece of femslash that's a bit slashier than usual for me. Thanks to fengirl88 (not to mention Amelia Bullmore's script!) for encouragement.

LOVE. So much love. The final S&B episode was nothing short of brilliant, and this adds a little icing and spice. :)

Thanks very much! Personally, I think it was all in the script. That final scene was Amelia Bullmore saying "Go forth, and write Murray/Dodson!"

I've finally caught up with the last few episodes so I could read this and not get spoiled. And it's worth waiting for - how you fit it into the series is fascinating. Not just building on the last scene, but all the other complex patterns: Rachel and Will Pemberton, Gill Murray's ex and the alcohol theme. And it's entirely believable how Gill could try it on and then just walk away if it didn't work out - she's impulsive as well as tough and gorgeous. So I hope Julie does get her second chance.

Thanks very much - as far as I was concerned, this one wrote itself, because that last scene seemed to be there to set it up! I've been surprised by the amount of kudos it got on AO3, because I wasn't expecting that for femslash, but I suppose it's a popular pairing in a current show. (Could anyone write m/m slash for Scott & Bailey?)
