Underwater treasure

I couldn't swim on Tuesday, as I had done the previous two weeks, as one of the lights in the pool chamber had fallen down, or was falling down, and they seemed rather vague when I asked if it would be OK next week. But I rang today and was told all was fine again, so I headed off at 8.55 p.m. and was in the water by 9.15. This is the latest time

I think the merit was that of the lady who kept searching and then went underwater so many times to pull it out! But I was pleased that I managed to help in the end!

I can't do anything but breaststroke. People have tried to persuade me that backstroke would be a good idea because of my fear of putting my face in the water, but I think I'd find it very worrying not being able to see where I'm going (same reason I prefer canoes to rowing boats

It was nice to be able to help, in the end - I felt very useless when I was still swimming while everyone else was searching. But I got my lengths in and helped to find it!
