The bedroom - in colour!

The bedroom is painted! Having first been stripped and relined, which took the decorators longer than they expected, and they grumbled a lot about having to strip the ceiling as well as the walls. I can quite see why the floor people originally said "do the decorating first", because I was wincing every time I went in and saw all the dust on it, despite dustsheets, though they seem to have managed to keep the paint away. But I hope I will be able to clean it properly once this phase is fully over. I don't think it's worth doing it before my joiner has been in again.

Lovely. The wall colour picks out the colour in the window glass. Good choice!

Oh good, I'm glad you think so! I tried about a dozen different shades, and eventually decided that one worked - but you never really know until you see the whole thing!

Yes, it definitely works with the sunlight pouring through it! I'm just hoping it still looks good when the curtains go up. I'm having a slightly wider curtain rail so that they can be pulled right back, I don't want to lose any of the glass.
