...I'm pretty sure time collapses in on itself whenever the kid's asleep. An hour during which he is awake, while undeniably enjoyable, takes approximately thirty times longer to pass than an hour during which he is asleep and I'm trying desperately to get something done before he wakes up ( Read more... )

Sort of similar to how our dogs, when they jump into bed, can control gravity and make themselves weigh 2000 pounds. Perhaps cute allows one to defy the laws of physics?
