I just got back from a run, proud of how I've been sticking to the resolution to eat better etc.

Just so you know? I hate you right now. A lot.

A lot a lot.

For some reason I have found it far easier to suffer at the gym than cut down on delishus food...this seems backward for some reason.

That's pretty much what I've found, too. Right now, I'm mostly running and have no time/money for the gym or fencing club. So I have to eat fewer delicious things, which is sad.

I once had CHOCOLATE COVERED deep fat fried cheesecake. At a medieval faire. It was awesome.

I think my brain actually stopped working for a second there. Chocolate. Cheesecake. Deep-frying. So many wonderful things in one place!

For those of us with a Mexican nana, yep, pumpkin empanadas are excellent times 10. :-D :-D

While I can totally get behind the principle of deep fried pumpkin pie, I resent the implication that anything other than the perfect blend of spices is necessary for the perfect pumpkin pie. Bland and "ho hum" it is not, provided you have someone who knows how to properly mix the spices.

That said, I would not be completely adverse to trying such a delisheeous treat. Because anything pumpkin is worth trying once.

Also, while wearing one pair of contact lenses will much improve your eyesight, inadvertently putting in two pairs will screw it up horribly and send you into a panic as to why you contacts don't work anymore.

Just so you know.

I am in full agreement re. pumpkin pie's inherent awesomeness. It is probably my favorite type of pie and I object to the fact that a lot of stores and restaurants around here seem to think it is a strictly seasonal dessert and only have it during the holidays. But I firmly believe that anything delicious + deep frying is a magnificent thing. My favorite little diner has deep fried French toast. It is amazing.

Excuse me while I laugh at your contact adventure. I'm glad there's actually nothing wrong with your eyes/lenses. That so sounds like something I'd do if I wore contacts.

I firmly believe Sweet Potato Pie is Pumpkin Pie's alternate universe self. So similar but just slightly different...enough to cause consternation until they fix the portal before the end of the episode.

And speaking of French Toast...you should try French Waffles sometime :-D
