This reminds me of a cover memo that I read at work once several years ago. (General correspondence is circulated among the staff.) The production manager sent a manuscript off to one of our freelance copyeditors. Said memos always include general information, what the schedule is, things to watch for, etc. Included among the notes?:

"I'm pretty sure that the author has used about the right number of commas. Unfortunately most of them are in the wrong place."
