So first of all, Joss Whedon did an interview for an online community of crocheters. Which, all by itself, is pretty splendid. But on top of that, he has to go and be hilarious:

So awesome. I love Joss from Firefly, I haven't watched Buffy, either, I was more of a Charmed girl myself, but I LOVE Joss. He is so funny.

Have people been bugging you about watching Buffy? Why should you have to watch it if you don't want to? Me, I stopped watching basically after S5, which was the perfect end-point for it.

I do want to, at this point. I still find Buffy herself pretty annoying, but I'm to the point now where I actually kind of like that she kills monsters in high heels and has to turn her homework in tomorrow. When I was a teen and tried the show, that whole element very much put me off. I just haven't made an effort to get hold of DVDs, yet.

I have managed to lead a full and happy life despite not ever having seen even a single episode of Buffy.*

...of course, this is because I have seen Babylon 5, and everything else is just lagniappe.

*That's not to say I never want to see it. I'll probably watch it. One day. In my spare time.
