So, I was going through a bunch of old private posts, looking for something, and I came upon this. Apparently, at some point, I had a long-ish Narnia fic about Susan Pevensie plotted out, but I never got much of it written beyond the first little section. Oh that is so good. Sharp like thorns.

And you must write the rest. Because however much I like "The Queen's Return", you would take a different and equally valid approach... and Susan deserves more love.

I wouldn't mind writing the rest, at some point. It's all outlined, so maybe I will, someday. I didn't like Susan as a kid, and I felt like her absence from the New Narnia was a validation of my dislike. As an adult, though, I have developed a huge amount of fellow feeling for her.

That was really, really cool. I love that idea, that Jill is jealous of Susan, and how that colors their interactions. The other details you added, like her siblings suddenly hanging out with their cousin and his friend, were really great. I hope you continue!

Thanks! I thought Jill would be jealous of the affectionate relationship Susan had with Aslan (and appalled with her for discarding it) since Jill's own relationship with him in Silver Chair involved a lot more getting cuffed about the head and told off than anything else. And I thought Susan would be just as jealous of the attention her siblings showed to Jill. So glad it worked for you!
