The book launch was brilliant. And was followed by an equally fun pub/bar crawl back to the hostel. It was one incredibly fun night, and I feel a repeat coming on as soon as we get our act together, and some more funds. A fuller description will follow as soon as Alice gets back from her spa-weekend and e-mails me the pictures, as long as none of ( Read more... )

So am I! I'd worked myself up into such a state of being completely petrified that it was such a relief!

Thank you! Although I'm kind of sad that it's over.

Ah, I am so glad it was great fun, and the rest of the night fabbity fab! That is how things oguht to be. How did the cowering behind a large flowerpot with a bottle of gin plan at the book launch go?

I look forward to these pictures with great anticipation.

I only hope that photo does not appear around college **laughs behind hands** At least it was for a good cause... even if really embarrassing if it came to public light.

There was no flower-pots and no gin. However, I improvised with a glass of wine and the protective force that is Hannah.

The photo itself was not too bad - it only involved myself and Jenny clutching our AIDs quiz paper, several bags of flavoured condoms, and laughing hysterically. I only hope that we were not standing in front of a large poster saying 'AIDs!'.

Ah, your skills of improvistion are commendable. I am guessing, then, that you also avoided having to jump out a window to escape your crazed fans? **laughs** Did you get asked silly questions?

The photo sounds incredibly funny. Especially the touch of the flavoured condoms.

I spent most of my time hanging around the other competitors, so I avoided anyone who looked silly-question-ish. I think there was one very amusing moment, though, when Alice told someone that she was my Mother, and they couldn't quite work out whether to believe her.

After acquiring the flavoured condoms, we then proceeded to sit in the canteen and swap them, so that we all had our favourite flavours. Much to the amusement of standers-by.
