At some point I need to stop writing "wow, that a full month" and just acknowledge that that is the default description of literally every month. Once again, we'll skip work stuff.
- I saw two movies in theatres this month, which is usually my max per calendar year. The first was Evil Does Not Exist, which was all right. Definitely immersive and

That heat wave brought the fireflies out, which made it all worthwhile. <3

Sounds like an amazing adventure! Or rather several of them. Fairies, falls and fireflies, yay! Storms, mixed review. Crown, booo! ;-) I can't imagine being able to camp after dental work. The effect is basically like major surgery, for me. Glad you got to do all these cool things.
I didn't know there was a new Haikyuu movie!! BL and I recently rewatched the first few seasons and they're SO good, but I felt like the series kind of fell apart and got repetitive after that, so we stop after... I think season 4, I can't remember for sure. But I feel like I've been trying to find a sports anime that good ever since I first watched it. I'm glad the new movie is good!
We were re-watching RWBY, one of our absolute favorite shows ever, when it disappeared from Crunchyroll with zero warning. :-( We were in the middle of season 6 of 9. We looked it up, and it looks like Rooster Teeth, the production company that makes it, has gone under. So now we don't know if the series will ever be finished, and I'm super bummed. But we jumped to order the ( ... )

Season 4 (so, after the Shiratorizawa season) is take or leave for me, but the movie is so good. It's under 90 minutes but packs in a lot without it feeling like meaningless garbage (LOL, my review of all anime compilation movies--which this one is not, but the fear was there!). I felt shrimp spectrum emotions and I literally think about it every day; I can't wait for it to come out on DVD. It also gave me such an appreciation for anime Kuroo. I don't really think about anime Kuroo (as distinct from stage play Kuroo, who is one of my faves), but now I do, haha.
I'd heard about Rooster Teeth, though I'm not familiar with any of their series, beyond having a friend once who was really into RWBY. I'm glad that at least the seasons you haven't watched yet are on DVD, and it's not like those shows that simply vanish! Right now we are finishing Legend of Arslan, which is the most boring show in all of existence, but it gives us the opportunity to shout "GAY" at the screen every second of every minute, which is extremely entertaining. XD It' ( ... )

LOL at shrimp spectrum emotions. :-D :-D I can't wait to see the new movie. Because I feel ya about the compilation movies--I've started assuming that's what they all are, so I won't be disappointed. The only one I can think if that wasn't, and that was actually good and helped wrap up the story of the series, was the one for Given.
LOL even harder at shouting GAY at the screen! <3 Sounds like something BL and I would do and enjoy also.

Also, yay for being able to host a friend visit! \o/ Does that mean the furniture situation is going well?

I will actually be going back to that exact same campground soon, on my way to the second crown appointment (it's a two-step process, with three weeks in between to create the permanent crown). I was like, you know what, I dug that place. I'll do it again!
And YES, thank you for asking! The furniture journey is going quite well! I have an outdoor table and TWO chairs; the futon; my own bedframe; and a bookshelf. I am working on bookshelf #2. I think next year it will be time for a ~~couch journey~~ but I need (and my bank account needs, lol) to take a break for a bit on the furniture front. XDD

Aw, yay, you've come so far in your furniture journey! :,D Two chairs and now two bookshelves?? Look at you go! Definitely a good idea to recover mentally and financially before going after The Big One. Best of luck!!

Wow driving through that storm sounds scary, I'm glad you made it safely and can now say it was an adventure. 💕

It took oooso long, though I kept reminding myself, it was not as long nor as dire as driving down Florida in a storm. Florida, THE WORST ANYONE'S EVER DONE IT, haha. It helped that at the very least it was somewhere I have driven before.

The worst drive I had was through a blizzard on a motorway - can't remember now where I was going or why, but I do remember how scary it was not being able to see through that sea of white! Fortunately UK blizzards aren't as epic as yours can be.
