So, I DID INDEED watch Porky's II! And found out that movie is long enough to make a pot of tomato soup, a pan of roasted brussels sprouts, an over-full pan of broccoli, a very involved grilled cheese; to do all the dishes involved therein; and to EAT said soup and sandwich. Also, there are significantly more graveyard scenes than you might guess ( Read more... )

THE PRETZELS ARE EXTREMELY GOOD. As were the soup and sandwich, but those were much less effort. XD

With pleasure! I used this one from Sally's Baking Addiction, but also brushed the pretzels with butter before baking, because... butter.

I've already eaten two (the runts of the litter, though!) and want another, but I also want to keep having pretzels to eat in the days to come... The eternal dilemma.

Your pretzels look amazing. And that looks like a very complicated sandwich.

They are so amazing. I want pretzels in my life every day, all day now. I need to work on my shaping abilities, though--not that the taste is any different, but none of these is TRULY a "big pretzel"!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DEAANNNN. <333 Your pretzels look so beautiful! Sometime in the vast glob of time that was 2020 my sister invited me to help her make homemade pretzels, but at the time I was hiding and crying (about... something. It was 2020) and then by the time I settled down and made my way to the kitchen all that was left to do was shape the dough. So I can't really say that I've made homemade pretzels, but I've... eaten them. XD They were SO delicious. I have always loved pretzels but homemade ones like this are the bestttt.

Shaping the dough is one of the most arduous parts, though!! The last time I made pretzels was in honor of NASCAR's Darlington throwback race a few yeas ago. I'm...not sure what pretzels had to do with anything (but the race is fun because lots of teams make retro paint schemes to honor some former era/aesthetic/style and sometimes they'll like, wear 80s wigs or grow out old timey mustaches, etc.) but I only made pretzels for D A R L I G T O N or something, missing one letter, so I had to make the last letter out of baby carrots. XDDDD
