Fanon puts the bunker in the middle of nowhere (which makes perfect sense because SECRET BUNKER) but it's actually not isolated. There's an episode - Pac Man Fever, I think - where our POV is at the bunker's front door, looking away, and we can see structures basically across the street. Now, we know Lebanon is actually a tiny town, but if we choose to cheerfully ignore such realities (as Show does on a regular basis), the Winchesters and their house guests have walked to town on several occasions, so it can't be too far.
