Agave?

For the sake of context, I'll note that this is technically fic-related, but it's just as easily read as a super random post about agave plants. Because really, when aren't agave plants an appropriate share, am I right or am I right ( Read more... )

Holy shit, that's massive! What a great gift to be able to see it bloom. And for the record, it sounds like that was one crazy year!

you are so cool. I love these things you get enthusiastic about - and yeah, me too!

I started reading the fic and liked it - it reaminded me of Fear and Loathing in a good way, I love the desert and paint and tactile...ness of it all! - I was so interested by all the agave talk - - I was so curious about the background and your research - and here it is!!!

I'm also sad for the cactus you personally knew...
And how magical to witness such a thing! The bloom!!!!

I mean, how do you not get excited about a gigantic dinosaur plant!!!

When you say you started the fic I'm not sure if that also means you finished it, but I hope you get a chance to--if you want to, that is! But I had a lot of fun with the tactile stuff; that's what I really wanted to work with, set some grounding down and get away from the vague amorphousness with which I'd written my 10x03/10x04 tags. And ha, I didn't think anyone would be interested in the agaves! XDD But I'm glad you were, because naturally they are magnificent. <3

I didn't, because it was bleaker than I could handle ATM - but that's nothing to do with you - so it's not feedback, just the place I am - didn't want to burden you with that, Regardless, it's unique and interesting

Hee, thanks for the clarification! Totally understand. :) But if you ever feel up to it, after the agave section there's actually an uptick, as far as the mental space of it goes, and an affirmative ending.
