Bulwer-Lytton: Bring it on, DW Fandom

I look forward to several awards every year, including the Ig Nobels, Darwins, and the less-known but equally hilarious Bulwer-Lytton Fiction Contest. Bulwer-Lytton is the writer who gave us, amongst other contributions, the opening "It was a dark and stormy night ..."

Rose squinted her eyes open, dreading the much too soon arrival of morning, (although living on the TARDIS was like crossing the international dateline hourly and twice before breakfast, so what did "morning" mean, really) rolled over to look at her clock, (which helped her quite a lot, despite how silly a clock in a time machine sounded) realized she had only been asleep for an hour and that it wasn't morning after all and happily shut her eyes and went back to sleep.
