Why am I modding an exchange again?

Yesterday was the deadline for dramione_duet. Until now I only received 7 submissions and two people let me know they'll turn their fics in later today. That means that half the participants haven't turned in their stuff. I don't know whether I should get mad or start to panic

Yep, sends you straight into emotional upheaval. Do I panic? Do I act bitchy and let them know I mean business? Do I smack some of them so the others will know I mean business? Are they all going to flake on me at the last minute and send me scrambling for pinch hitters?

Makes me wonder why we do it too. Are we mad?

Yet still, I do love modding. It's the babysitting I could do without.

I usually love modding too. But whenever the deadline is there and I suddenly don't get all the submissions, or if I do they aren't coded/coded poorly, I just really wonder why I chose to spend my free time like this. It suprises me every time to see how many writers seem to be illiterate, because they apparently can't understand the most simple set of rules.
