A/N: Written for the second round of July at dyno_drabbles. Drabbles had to be less than 300 words and inspired by this picture by thanfiction.

Hermione’s first thought was that she ought to have known better. After all, the twins’ inventions always caused trouble. But Ginny had been so excited when she told Hermione about her brothers’ newest invention that Hermione had agreed to try it out. And really who would expect an item called Foggies - Unfog your Future to turn out to be so disastrous?
It was only supposed to show a glimpse of the future, a random picture of what life will look like next week, next year or maybe ten years from now. What could possibly go wrong?
Ginny certainly had squealed in delight when she had unwrapped the little bubble charm and warmed it in her hands, as instructed in the manual. A purple mist had evaporated from the bubble and then formed a translucent screen to show a moving scene not unlike the wizarding photographs, only fuzzy around the edges.
Of course Ginny had only seen herself wearing the Holy Harpies Quidditch uniform. Naturally, she was happy to know she’d play professional Quidditch at one point in her future.
Hermione had taken another of the Foggies and warmed it in her hands. She’d never have done it had she known that the fog would reveal her dancing intimately with Malfoy of all people. Hermione could only stare in disbelief at the scene in front of her.
“So, Hermione, anything we need to discuss?” Ginny asked with thinly veiled glee once the fuzzy picture of the dancing couple had evaporated.
“Only the obscene amount of pain I will inflict on you should you ever breathe a word about this,” Hermione replied through clenched teeth.
“My, my... You aren’t even dating yet and already Malfoy’s personality is rubbing off on you.”
