That report seems highly biased, but there are a few reports online claiming that children have been killed in the name of Kali. I think a few years ago, there was one National Geographic magazine covering India, and a recent human sacrifice was mentioned. I know in some regions of India, they sacrifice goats, which I do disagree with, but it's their traditional custom for revering Kali.

It's funny how some of the encyclopedias I glanced at mentioned she was the wife of Shiva. Most of them were dated however, and had an obvious religious bias against other faiths, just evident in their description of events.

Sacrificing children as an offering to Goddess Kali is not a routine feature forming part of Hindu worship. Yet, I do agree, these are occasionally reported. But, have you tried to understand the background in which such crimes are committed? Compare that back ground with spiritualistic ideals with which the concept of Goddess Kaliis concerned. Varahi
