I hate stories where one character endlessly pines for another character's attention in any fandom
I love them--as long as the pining actually has an end and it's not because the object of affection is with someone else, but because of the usual obstacles of "he's not into guys" or "he just wants to be my friend...woe" or anything else that can be easily solved with a smack upside the head . But, I actually agree with what you're saying here because no, I don't want to see Rodney skulking in a corner with a broken heart while John is getting busy with Ronon. But anyone who can acknowledge John and Rodney's relationship while Ronon is also involved with one of them...now, that would be something else entirely. *g*

So, yeah, very cool post. Is it Friday yet? *g*

You know, i change my mind, lol, bcse I completely agree with you. Pining is okay as long as there is some sort of resolution and doesn't result in one character looking pathetic or treated like crap endlessly by other characters.

And im really freaking out about the really long hiatus for SGA, im only glad i have other shows to look forward to or I would be sad bcse this Atlantis-free week is killing me. But hey, its Friday tomorrow *bounces*

Since I pretty much agree with everything you just said I'm gonna just go Word. Mostly. LOL

I like that Ronon fits in differently than I had expected. I was not looking fwd to Ronon and Shep having Alpha male problems. I love the dynamic between Shep and Ronon. It's totally Han Solo with his Chewbaca. And Ronon and Rodney bond over food. I don't see the fucking between them happening so much. But that's me. I see it with Shep and Ronon though. And Ronon and Teyla. Good dynamic there too. She's not made out to be less of a warrior/strong woman just because Ronon is the BIG HULKING WARRIOR DUDE.

I could do with a little less of the cliched "He can be hit by a tank and not go down" theme they've got going on with Ronon, but I'll live.

I think the team really clicks now. The dynamic is fab. And I look forward to lots more of it on the show. Yep.

And please...as you say, no jealousy stories. Blech.

Its wierd, I can't see Shep in a relationship with anyone but Rodney, and I think its the way JF plays Shep. He really treats Rodney much more differently than the others. I can see him in a physical relationship with Ronon but Ronon seems much more relationshippy(its not a word I know) with Teyla. And hell, even my brother noticed that John and Rodney can't seem to stay away from each other:)

And tomorrow is Friday, yay!!*bounces*

You perfectly laid out here why I adore Ronon so much! I seriously believe he was the missing piece that was needed to round out this cast, and I totally didn't used to think that way! I remember when my friend told me - before the spoilers about him came out - that they had someone new on the cast, and I balked at the idea. Even when she told me after meeting him about how amazing he was, I still didn't believe her! Of course, now I'm eating crow. :P

I hope they keep him. I love this show more than I thought possible!!

Don't worry, they'd be crazy not to keep him, he's contributed so much already and I can't wait to find out more about him:)
