I was a cellist. I understand you pain. I busted my ass to be the best, and before I killed my arthritic wrists and fingers trying to play things as absolutely perfect as I could, I was actually good at it for a time. One of the last concerts I played in we did The Barber of Seville (Figaro one of the most fun cello lines ever. Rossinni was always good to his baratones. ^_^ ) and afterwards I was asked to be a fourth for a quartet for some wedding where, of course, they wanted Pachabel's Cannon in D. ~sigh~ Like that is a romantic piece even, but no one wants to ever listen to that rant of mine... (Aragonaise from Carmen is the most romantic piece of classical music ever written IMO.) every cellist in my section turned him down. My 5th chair told him to try hitting up the nearby middle school's orchestra for a sucker.

~sigh~ But now, not having played at all in the better part of a decade, I'd probably not even be able to play That. I totally suck.

Sheesh, put me on the list for cellists. But I did band & orchestra, & guitar class. At least in band I was a drummer. :)
