Seriously?

From Interview magazine:

With audiences clearly exhausted of modernity, the Braveheart remake comes on the heals of successful medieval fantasies Game of Thrones and Spartacus.

Medieval fantasies? SpartacusAlso, while I admit that GoT and Spartacus have soothed and medicated my savage spirit, it's heels, not heals, my friends ( Read more... )

re: Spartacus finale -- I HAVE ALL OF THE FEELINGS. Seriously, I am so broken and happy and broken, I don't even know what to say! I can't believe it's over for like a year... I loved it so so so much. At the same time, I am SO SAD. I don't know what to make of loving an epic tragedy so much! Everybody dies! But it is awesome! My conflict, let me show you it. (At least the boys escaped. For now. I bet they bite it next season though :-( )

I am plotting insane happy everyone meets in the afterlife and has all of the sex and hugs and kittens stories, which is -- what? I don't even know what to make of that.

GoT is good, but I like Spartacus better, frankly. Like, the GoT world is so unbelievably bleak... and no one ever seems to have fun in it. Which makes me like it less. But I still love watching awesome fantasies on TV. It makes me feel happy. =D Although I find it somewhat isolating, since most of my meatspace friends are Team Stark, and I am Team Lannister. ;-)

FASSBENDER. I love how etched his face is in those shots. Ngh!

Lovely Fassbender pics, although I just pixilated through the one with the cigarette (visual equivalent of plugging my ears and lalala-ing loudly).

Good old Braveheart..oh wait..BRAVEHEART, from 1995, not HIGHLANDER from 1986 (yeah, that's what my head was thinking)..oh no no no, Braveheart isn't THAT old!

Yeah, I know his smoking bothers some folks... probably should've warned -- apologies! I find it hot, alas, and also I kinda love his whole balls-to-the-wall "I shall smoke everywhere and you cannot stop me!" thing, but I recognize that this is unhealthy. It's probably Freudian or something, my dad only quit when he got sick three years ago, and my partner's still a pack a day, s'like conditioning or something. If you read the article though, he talks about how he can't do sport without blowing a gasket anymore, and he should probably quit ;-)

Hahaha, I think they've already got a highlander tv show, but it's probably due for a remake too soon.
