I <3 NY

Jun 24, 2011 23:44

I stopped watching the damn thing earlier today, when it looked like it was going to get stalled and the frustration was killing me.

And then my darling magnetgirl called me with the news.

YAY NEW YORK. It feels fucking awesome.

Also, um, hi guys. Long time no talk. Hopefully back with more soon.

news of the world, queer, links, politics

Thanks! It's weird, but nice to be back. Must get into the blogging habit again.

YAAAAY! *bounces* I was offline, and I just got on and saw the interwebs all a-flutter. :D

I was born in NY, though I don't live there now, so this makes me especially happy.

Hey, there! Yeah, it's a good day, isn't it? I posted on my FB this morning: "is a little late to the party in both cases (thanks to time zones and a need to catch up on sleep) but today is celebrating the life of Peter Falk, RIP, and marriage equality in NY, OMG. A time to mourn and a time to dance..."

Still waiting for my ultra-rightwing fundamentalist California relatives to jump in my shit for quoting the Bible on this.

Did they end up getting into it with you? I think it's a pretty awesome and apt quote myself.

No, actually, they didn't. I guess we've finally learned to just kind of ignore one another's posts. Even my niece's Bible-spamming.
