Oh! I'm so glad you liked it! ♥ x a billion. and you caught the references and you are so awesome!!

D. & I spent new year's eve doing a massive Misfits rewatch marathon, and I noticed for the first time that Simon has a model dalek on his bedside table.

This is lovely, especially the idea of Simon going home after his death. It's a much happier ending.

I adored the imagery of the time traveling scene, free-running through the multiple universes. And I loved the affection between Simon and Nathan, and the very vague definitions of their friendship.
Simon just barely manages to resist digging up the coffin, so he can yell the news of his imminent gay future in Nathan’s ear. It's really tempting, but he is a little afraid he will start trying to cuddle the corpse for comfort, and this is a little too retrograde, even for him They're awkwardly adorable.

This was really fascinating. I loved the idea of experimenting with the timelines and various dimensions of it, how it's not necessarily just a closed loop (which I'm personally not all that fond of, since you run into the issue of the chicken and the egg), and how Simon gets to experience a shred of that. I love that he's not all-knowing, either; that the time travel is as much of a leap into the darkness as it later feels for the characters in the present.

I really like your use of language, as well. There were many sentences I felt flowed wonderfully, with word choices that I was pleasantly surprised by! The allusion to musical imagery warms my personal geeky heart, of course, and I enjoyed the other references too (like Inception, haha).

So yes, thank you for sharing! I really, really enjoyed this and all the work that went into putting it together. :)

This is one of the nicest pieces of feedback I've ever gotten; thank you so much. You completely got everything I was trying to do with the time travel (your note about the closed loop made me squee so hard!). I had so much fun with the musical imagery & geekery, it really made my day to have it noticed. Seriously, thank you.
