I think I just threw up in my mouth a little

via rm: I found this delightful piece of nausea inducing vitriol from the mouth of author, John C. Wright. It's one of the most offensive things I've ever read. More so even than Orson Scott Card, which is saying somethingIt's also really charming to see names I recognize from various fandoms (Star Wars being a particular offender) agreeing with this ( Read more... )

OMG, that Wright thing: I'm just sitting here going D: -- it makes me feel a bit icky just knowing that I share the planet with someone like him, and the people agreeing with him in comments.

I kept reading expecting it to be some really complicated form of sarcasm. Like... okay, and the punchline is where? For some reason I read the link at the top as being to the offending article, and thought what you'd linked me to was someone (ham-fistedly) making fun of the person spewing the homophobic bullshit. And I was like... wow. Okay, so that's the characture of what these people say, I wonder what the actual link says. Then I realized it *was* the rant.

And felt like barfing in my mouth a little.

You know, I was expecting the same thing? Its tonal quality really makes it sound like caricature. And then it's....not.

If I *were* going to bother to engage, I point out that there isn't a single *sin* a homosexual can perpetrate upon or with a member of their gender that a heterosexual *can't* perpetrate upon a member of the opposite sex.

Except for docking. And I don't think they cover docking in the bible. ... Though, considering the whole circumcision thing, I'd wager they're against it.

Does anyone else feel the oncoming "It was all just a social experiment!"?

I feel in desperate need of a hot shower. My internets have been splooged upon.

Honestly, at this point, that would feel better than the icky vileness that this dude seems so freaking proud of.

With you on the hot shower. Eeesh.
