When I attempted to sign onto e-mail this morning, Yahoo tells me that my account was "compromised." It took forever to change my password and log onto e-mail. At first glance nothing looks missing, but if any of you received weird e-mails from me in the last twenty-four hours, please let me know. It's not. They keep changing my password as soon as I change it, so they are in effect in control of my e-mail account. I don't know how to stop it.

Erk. I wish I had the IT Brain to offer meaningful suggestions :(

Perhaps try to salvage your contacts list and other personal stuff before it gets removed & delete it yourself in the hope they haven't already copied it. When this is resolved you can put it all back...

I hope that might work, anyway.

The issue is that they've got a logged-in session with your webmail, so even if you change the password, they're still logged-in, and can change the password. In gmail, there's an option to kill other sessions, maybe yahoo has the same option?

Alternatively you've got to get in touch with somebody and have them change the password and kill all sessions simultaneously.
