HAIL HYDRA!

I squeed and squeed.HOWEVER. Before I saw the film, I was having a reasonable discussion with Eric Trautmann, asking him what he thought of the film because I hold his opinions in high regard - yes, I'm naming names - and he warned ( Read more... )

Man, I feel like I really need to watch the movie again. I was super tired when I saw it, and I liked it but would probably like it more if I were awake the whole time.

I'm definitely seeing it again. I need to see the details that I missed! Like the now not one but two Easter eggs apparently in the film.

I did like it much more being awake the whole time! And I agree with your assessment below re: Cap. I really liked him. He's plucky. Just such a decent guy, you know? I'm looking forward to seeing how a guy like that interacts with the rest of the Avengers. (And I know Joss is too.)

Cap's best qualities are his humility, bravery, integrity, honesty, and truly compassionate nature. There's also his ability to bring out the best in people and inspire them without EVER resorting to cheap sloganeering. That's why Steve Rogers rules my world.

I spotted that Easter Egg, and then found info online as to why there is nothing in the film that gives the name of the egg. Apparently, Chris Evans' previous employers still own the rights to the name.

You did catch the Armin Zola egg, right?

Chris Evans previous employers?

No, I did not catch the Armin Zola egg - where was it?

ETA: Oh, you mean his first appearance in the film as a distorted face through glass?

See the movie. I'd be interested in your thoughts. Chris Evans isn't loathsome as Cap - he's actually low key, humble, and inspirational at times. I was pleasantly surprised.

I'm hoping to see this movie, this week with the_croupier and I keep hearing good things. Knowing you liked it says a lot with your comic love and knowledge.

Oh and I love threading with you again. I smile every time a notif appears in my inbox from mambawithme.

I did like the film although it suffers from problems of pacing. Go see it!

Black Mamba/Moist OTP! If she ever finds out his real name she will DIE laughing.

He hides his real name as much as possible because it makes him want to hide.

The World's Fair Easter egg delighted the heck out of me, as did the subtle little shout-out to Raiders. Okay, I loved this movie just in general.
