LJ, forgive me if this is a stupid question, but....

Jul 22, 2010 12:41

With the new navigation header that was implemented a few months ago, the option to click "Help" and get taken to LJ's support pages seems to have disappeared. Where is it hiding? Because it's not under Home, Profile, Journal, Friends, Communities, Explore, Shop, or LJ Extras, and those are the only options I have at the top of my LJ page ( Read more... )

questions for the flist, pleas to the flist

I only see the new header on one of my accounts. The Help option is still there when I go to my user profile on this account. Is this what you're looking for?

So I checked the account with the new header and I don't see the "Help" option anywhere either. However, if you go to your profile, the "Support" option itself is at the bottom of the page under the "Mini Sitemap" section.

Mini site map? kali921 July 22 2010, 20:01:02 UTC
Thank you, that was the support link I was looking for, but where is this mini site map section you speak of? I'm looking at both my home page and my profile page for this account, and I don't see a site map section. Am I blind?

I see it on the user profile at the very bottom of the page on the left hand side.

ETC: If you want to get rid of this altogether, go here: http://www.livejournal.com/manage/settings/ go into the Display tab and opt out of Cyrillic services (last option). That'll get you back to the old navigation display.

I'm using the old site scheme. I have no site map at the bottom of the page. This is so frustrating! ARGH. Thank you for trying to help, though. I also can't see now the spam challenges that support apparently requires you to successfully navigate in order to file a request.

As long as your inactive accounts have content in them, they're fine. If they're empty, you need to log into them. Also it looks like you were able to email support@ so that's an easy way to open a request. :)

The ReCaptcha problem is probably because that script isn't served from LJ, it comes from ReCaptcha? Maybe? Can you tell I have no idea what I'm talking about?

Actually, the news posts said that one of the criteria was not having logged into an account for two years - so I read that as you can have journals filled with content, but if you haven't logged into it for two years, it'll be purged. Am I wrong?

The news post was edited to clarify that "inactive" means not logged in for two years and either zero or one entries. As long as your RP journals have content, you'll be fine. If they're just commenting type RP journals though, those would be purged.

Yes, we were. Sorry, it's been a rough few days - tons of errands, my brother leaving for Burma for a year and me freaking out about it, and me not being on AIM. Also, my buddy list on AIM mysteriously disappeared, so if you see me on AIM, please pounce on me, okay?

...WOW. This makes me actually want to play a video game. Holy Sinestro, this looks AWESOME. My only quibble is that Diana gets taken out by Deathstroke?!
