I've been glued to NPR for the past two days listening to the Sotomayor hearings. Thus far they mostly consist of "YOU DARED TO BE ETHNIC. Oh geeze, those three are the video reviewers who do a lot of stuff for Newsarama. I totally forget why, but something else they did really annoyed me there, and I can't stand them.

And that video doesn't help any.

I wish Marvel Divas was even halfway decent, but it's just total shit. I mean, Dini showed just last month that it's not that hard to take female characters and throw a good story around them. But while Gotham Sirens or Ultra (which had this same idea back when Sex in the City was still relevant) feature action and comic book tropes, Divas seems like it goes out of its way to make the fact that these are superheroes completely incidental. And the "reveal" at the end is just godawful. Just a badly written book with a poor concept.
