In my experience, most animal kicks to the chest can probably be avoided by humans adhering to one simple maxim: give the animals plenty of room, and DON'T BE A CLUELESS DICK. In fact, just don't go to petting zoos or wildlife preserves where animals are jammed up too closely to human gawkers.
Birds of prey always have frowny faces! In a terrifyingly wonderful way! Oh, and so very agreed about the kangaroo adjusting his plane of attack. That's what makes it all the more lovely.
There's something screwy with the images themselves, something about the format, and the way some browsers/computers handle them. I can't see some of them either. Fortunately, so far, it only seems to be the GL images and a few others. At least for myself.
On the upside, I'm pretty sure those images will be in the Free Comic Book Day's Blackest Night #0, which is out tomorrow!

Heh, I love the bird that walks into screen after the kick. Like it's laughing at the kid!

Birds of prey always look so mean. In a really cool, but slightly frightening way. It's a good thing they have small brains.
