I use "frigidity" here in an entirely unironic context, really.

First, some random things that must dutifully be chronicled:

1. I've been icing my ankle four or five times every a day while I go through physical therapy. My physical therapist, who is relentlessly thorough, keeps telling me that gel packs you get at drugstores aren't frigid enough and that I better either use ice or use one of those Cold Pac ( Read more... )

*laugh*

I like her top and boots, and her JACK SKELLINGTON EARRINGS. Look at her earrings! The skirt's a little too Daljeet's circa 1997, but it's still cool. I love that it's long!

I've been watching Adam Ant videos all day and so am FIRMLY planted in, like, 1982. *grin* So '97 is progress!

Honestly, I've been feeling very old school goth throwback about clothes lately.

For example, I want all of the short little jackets here, even though she doesn't make them in my size. I suppose this is why I'm glad I can sew without patterns. *GRIN*

Adam Ant, you say? This is still one of the greatest things EVER. kali921 April 24 2009, 22:32:34 UTC
I saw the Adam Antness on your journal! Kings of the Wild Frontier was such a great release, I've heard that the accompanying live tour, where he had two drummers playing in tandem (kind of like Ministry did for a while), was excellent.

This is still one of the GREATEST THINGS EVER:

The martial drumming pulled me right in.

Oh, that Bone Trooper jacket is FABULOUS!! I can't wear short little jackets like that due to my 36C bosoms, but I can admire them from afar. Tomato red plus a Jolly Roger? SOLD, bebbeh. SOLD.

Well, how much runway stuff really gets lifted directly to the streetwear side of things for everyday wear, though? I think leggings with that pattern would blow my mind. And a tight top with that same pattern? AWESOME. I think it's just that it's a leotard that is holding me back from embracing it fully as-in.

Exactly. I WOULD wear something like that, although I'd prefer the leggings to be a pair of wide forties trousers (because I love that look).

Ooooh, it'd look swanky as wide forties trousers, though I always feel I'm too short to pull those off without mega platform shoes of some kind.

I want a pet eyeball squid! I would love it and hug it and call it George.

The only thing that strikes me as really wrong about the way the woman is drawn is that her studded collar doesn't follow her throat-line.

That's EXACTLY what I told Eric Trautmann! I told him that I wanted my own eyeball squid STAT.

You're right about the collar. I hadn't noticed; maybe it's just on too tight.

I know! If stars were sentient, I wonder if they'd deliberately arrange to have such pretty deaths. Live fast, die young, leave a good looking supernova!

David Messina has done some GREAT erotic comics - some parodies of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Harry Potter, the Big Brother TV show, and even Disney and horror films - in addition to short erotic stories starring original characters of his own ("Evelyn" is my favorite of his creations).

By the way, this is for you. :)

I really have absolutely no interest in Messina's erotic comics.

Fair enough. Just saying, his art is very good, regardless of the genre it's applied to.
