Today I just about finished off the base of my current project. It's remarkably slow going

Wow... I love how you did the steps and everything.
You make me want to get one of my own... infact, I might. 'Cept it'll be different lol. Such a cool and fun idea.
It's turning out marvelously!

"Get one of your own" what exactly? You can't buy these things, you have to make them yourself! Well, very rarely a person who does make thdioramas does come on hard times and offer them for sale, but the asking price is certainly not cheap. Not cheap at all. Just in my one here there's easily over $50 worth of miniatures, and then if you want to cost in the hours spent building and painting, and then sentimental value....

Well, they have the game stores where you can buy figures and I wanna buy a bunch of them, and the "get one of my own" was more directed at materials and ideas. Plus, I've seen starter kits, but they're not exactly as cool as yours. Either way, I wanna start one! Just... different lmao
Like I don't have enough projects...

Lol yeah. Dioramas take massive time commitments, much more than even I'd thought (I'm used to just painting the miniatures). Most people I know who got into this hobby end up spending a fortune of bits and pieces to make their own stuff, but loose motivation and then sell it all off cheap. Which is when the wily veterans scoop up the bargains! Best to finish of the majority of other projects first.

I really like the paint on the steps. It makes it look very realistic.

Is that someone's head on the ground in the last picture?

Haha, well spotted! Yes indeed, as I was sticking the skeletons into place for this set of pictures I pushed down a little hard on the skeleton in the foreground there and *pop* went his head! Ooops. So yeah, he's practically playing football with his own skull. ( I wanted to keep the head with the body so I didn't lose it.)
