Brian Singer (X-Men, Superman) is likely to direct a Battlestar Galactica film that has nothing to do with the Ron Moore reboot because of renewed interest in the franchise. Yet Universal can't scrounge up the cash to make a sequel to Serenity. Some execs need a good Gibbs-style slap upside the head. Grrr.
