I'm finally done with Half-Blood Prince.

Alright, I'm done with that. It seems that I have a trend of taking my time with reading novels, comics, playing games etc that are out of trend. I don't know why I always ended up doing things this way. Firstly, new releases are expensive. The second reason, I feel that I'm forced to if I were to do any of those above during the 'trend period'. I ( Read more... )

Am glad you really enjoyed this book so much.
Now that I'm doing ENGL (lit) and learning about metafiction and relationships between books and readers and the blurry levels of reality and fiction... your experience just makes me....
I don't know, I love how books and readers have distinct intimate relationships. Like we could read the same book at the same time but we gain different insights, and feel different emotions. A depressing part would make us both sad, but the intensity and type of devastation we feel is different, and related to who we are as people and what experiences we have had or are undergoing.

RAMBLING stuff..

I was doing my ENGL paper and I realise that I seem to be saying the same thing over and over again but in different sentence structures and using different vocabulary words.

Now I have so much to read for tomorrow T______________T and a PSYC little writing assignment.

OH...Read Deathly Hallows. It will be a even better emotional rollercoaster ride. Trust me, love.

I MISS YOU! aishiteru!

Hahaha.. Wa seh... The way you phrase this relationship between books and readers.. I would have never be able to express it this way. Looks like there's really so much to study and dwell into for ENGL. Just hope you meet more topics that interest you along the way in this subject, which will probably make all these readings easier to digest ^_^

Yeah... I'm gonna book either Yvette's or Shu Fen's Deathly Hallows. Intended to get it at Msia but no chance yet.

Ai seh... I miss you too man... ^3^

woah, when you sms-ed me saying you were emoshitting i didn't know you meant you were crying. i thought you were just terribly sad, but never mind xD

i didn't have such a big reaction when dumbledore died, just felt a sense of pity that such a great character have to die. and as vrilly said, book 7 is really the best. especially towards the end, it was touching but i didn't cry la haahha it's those kind that you wouldn't cry but you will have overwhelming feelings.

maybe because it's your grandfather that this book affected you so much. i never had the experience of crying over a book, or even a movie... very rarely i would cry over a movie. i never did for a book. actually it's kinda a wonderful thing to feel emotional about these novel stories. i do hope one day, i can cry over a book too xD

Hahahha! Neh mind lah. I felt that I was more into the story than my own memories of my grandfather. Weird kind of feeling, like I'm one foot into the fantasy and the other foot in reality.

That having said.... LEND ME YOUR BOOK 7, Pla lah~
I felt so empty after finishing book 6. I think I would feel even more empty if I finish book 7. Time to find some other new work. Maybe can try that "Tunnels".

Yeah.. if you cry along, it seems that you have a small role in the story itself. More attached to it... and images formed in your mind are more vivid. Well, by trying hard to form so many images in my mind, I guess that's probably why I always ended up reading so slowly XD.
