I just got a text telling me that we're going to be receiving 700 pieces of freight nightly this week at the job.

For those of you that don't work retail, that's a lot. Especially if you only have a four-man crew to work it and then backstock it at night and you're part of that crew. Don't fool yourselves that BB&B has a separate cleaning and stock ( Read more... )

Hey, at this point, our work on LaOH is all I'm messing with this week. Anissa and I are going to work on opening on and off, in between us working on that. You know me, writing keeps me sane. This week is gonna be all about the fun stuff. :-*

Let me guess - this is the beginning of holiday retail chaos? I've worked retail myself, but in much smaller stores, and even a few more boxes than usual can really make things hellish. Relax, do what you have to do, and don't worry about us!

God, if only! The holiday insanity actually started about three weeks ago here. We've been getting in tons of freight for weeks and we're actually starting to get the holiday customer flow a LOT earlier than usual. Just...ugh.

*snugs* Thanks, love. I just hate that we're not being out the level of material that we usually do this year. It's just been so damn BUSY all year and I find myself more tired than I'm used to being.
