I had to think for a while about what music was appropriate for the guy who has been pissed off all day, and wants to listen to something which is good music for those who are pissed off and who aren't happy about it but who nevertheless don't feel like apologizing for being pissed off. lossfound will likely remark on this, especially given my selection ( Read more... )

you might be surprised at what some of the OOP discs in your collection are presently worth, but i think this next 12-24 months is the last hurrah of value for optical media until they become Hot Collectibles in 20 years which they will not because we'll all be dead by then.

American Don is one of the lightest, happiest Don Cab releases there ever was before they broke up and then also before Damon Che decided he was going to reform the band without anyone else. wouldn't anything by, say, Mayhem have been a better choice under the circumstances?

iced green tea is my drink of the summer. it's a remarkably flexible platform for experimentation.

I would assume that ebay is the only functional way to price OOP items, like, say, the Half-Baked Serenade EP.

See: I wasn't brutally angry at the world. I was pissed off, in the kind of mood that in my mind correlates with Damon Che sitting on a drum stool for three minutes doing nothing so as to express profound displeasure. I wanted to channel my latent and not-so-latent pissiness into something akin to precision.

Perhaps what we really need is japolo's opinion on these matters, since he was prescient about the beginning of the demise of optical media when most people would have thought he was insane. And then also perhaps he could recommend some fucked up dance music.
