Romantic is the word that is used and it is the perfect word for this whole situation, I believe; I have struggled to find one to describe this all along and I haven't found it...but there it is.
No matter what happens, there is a very Romantic element to Shevchenko and to Milan and I have a lot of thoughts but nothing makes sense.

I am exactly the same, I mentioned it to my friend when I read the Romantic part, there was no right word before..everything was just a little bit wrong but Romantic just...fits.
Everything stopped making sense when he gave himself away.
