The 2012 KakaSaku Winter Fanwork Exchange

Come one! Come all! Welcome to the KakaSaku Winter Fanwork Exchange!

This works super simply: sign up with your prompts, get someone else's prompts, write or draw something for those prompts, and get a written or drawn gift in return. There is no losing, only winning!

Important Dates You Should Know

❄ Sign-ups will last until October 30, 2012

❄ Assignments will be handed out on November 1, 2012

❄ Gift Fanworks are due by December 22, 2012. That gives you a bit over seven weeks to create an awesome piece of fanart or fanfic.

❄ Gifts will be distributed on December 28, 2012.

Rules

❄ Fics should be at least 1,000 words long. How you get to 1000 words is up to you (10 connected drabbles is totally fine, for example). There is no maximum word count! Just make sure you can get your fic done on time!

❄ Fanart should be the equivalent amount of effort to 1k words of fic. If you want to get there through several smaller sketches or works, that's fine! (And, again, make sure you can get it done on time!)

❄ You can't pick what type of work (fanfic or fanart) you will receive; we'll simply match you according to what you ask for.

❄ E-mail your fanwork to kakasakuexchange@gmail.com by December 22, 2012. That will give us a few days to pinch-hit for anyone who drops without warning. (Please don't do that, though! If you have to drop out, let me know ASAP rather than at the last moment!)

❄ Please e-mail your completed fanwork as an attached .doc (fic) or .jpg/.png (art) file. Make sure that your entry includes the username, that of your recipient, category (fic or art), which prompt you went with, and ratings/warnings.

❄ Please do not post your fanwork anywhere else before December 28, 2012. It's not a gift if everyone but the recipient sees it early!

❄ Have fun! Yes, that's a rule!

To sign up, copy and paste the form from the textbox below into a comment, fill out the form, and hit reply! All comments are screened for anonymity.

When signing up you are required to provide six prompts. (Three for fic and three for art.) This is so whoever winds up making a gift for you has options to work with if one prompt doesn't work.

E-Mail:
Are you available as a pinch-hitter?: (This means, if someone does not manage to get their fanwork done by Dec. 22 you may be e-mailed with a request to whip up another gift for someone. This is entirely voluntary. If you can, it's appreciated. If you can't, that's fine too.)

Writing Prompts

Art Prompts

1.
2.
3.

Can these prompts be used interchangeably as art/writing prompts? (If you don't mind if a fic writer uses your art prompts as a fic prompt or if an artist uses your writing prompts for an art piece, tell me that here!)

What do you refuse to/cannot write/draw? (This is for anything that grosses you out or that you just can't manage to write/draw or that you just don't want to write/draw.)

What do you not want to receive?: (This is so we can make sure you get a fic/art piece that you'll enjoy! Detail what you do not like in your fic/art and what you don't want to wind up with!)

Miscellany: (Do you have something else to say that's not covered above?)

Permission Time: (When the holiday exchange is over, we're going to have a lot of extra prompts left over! Are you willing to let the comm take those spare prompts and use them in chats/challenges/miscellaneous things? If so or if not, let me know here!)

STOP!: (Have you filled out everything? Double-check before posting!)

Questions, comments, pie? Leave a comment and I'll get back to you!
