i was toying with the idea of getting a tablet pc just so i could use it to draw. of course it doesn't even approach the resolution of real paper though, but you can arbitrarily zoom in to do details instead of being constrained by fat fingers and pencils. that's part of the reason i was looking at those dumb "smart-displays" things.

d'ya have anything like a big piece of wood to prop up so it's at an angle to you? rememer my art teacher used to have that i think. you can't hunch over a flat table drawing, it's just not right even for normal people.

dude, i was just thinking, do you think imaginary lines are a function of the human brain's nature of forming patterns, or might they even be a "trick" on our retina's pre-processing or something? wonder if there might be some kinds of mental or physical problems one of which effects is that people do not perceive imaginary lines?

Yup. Tried that. The injury is minor (non-crippling) but permanent.
