My dear friend jetshade's wife is in the hospital right now, and to make it a double whammy, jetshade's workman's comp claim got refused, leaving them in a dire financial situation. (You can read about the details here.)

That is some gorgeous work! I'm sad for the circumstances of it -- but was only too happy to grab three pieces, and a chunk out of my Christmas shopping far in advance. The work really is lovely.

Please -- as gorgeous as that work is, and as low as her suggested donations are? I'm hardly awesome, I'm criminal! (But looking forward to every minute of it.)

Yeah, when I saw that it really broke my heart. I couldn't bring myself to take advantage of the offer, knowing how swamped she'd probably be by it, but I made a donation anyway.

Have you read L's latest LJ post? Not only is T doing a little better, but the outpouring of generosity has apparently been overwhelming.

Let's hear it for good friends.
