I have, in fact, often wondered why the Summer Solstice is called Midsummer! Ah-ha! That does make more sense... if you live in squishy rock-filled green places where summer ends on August 1. I tend to live on the surface of the sun where summer is still in full swing during that month -- but close enough!

Through a slightly odd chain of LJ links, including your omgwtfbunnies community, I ended up finding your journal and you seem precisely the sort of person I ought to friend, only that I'm terrible at keeping up with flist as it is and would hate to add someone and then leave them feeling ignored.

However, if I may ask, where is the picture of Drew Barrymore in a pretty dress standing by a flowered hedge from? I don't recall that from Ever After and if there's another Barrymore-big-flumphy-dress movie, I must add it to my library hold list immediately.

And if you happen to be all right with being friended as a general sort of "I'm interested in this person" more than "omg I will slavishly read every word you say" then let me know and I shall add you. :)

Also, I love the climate badge thing on your profile and have opened the info in another window to read further later. Thanks!
