That sounds lovely-- and it's nice that you remember that time so happily, rather than as one of being "yanked" into new surroundings at what is typically a socially difficult time of life. Though it sounds as if you grew up in a military family, and thus change was more the norm than the exception!

Coming home from England at the beginning of my Junior year of HS was the one that had that "yanked" feeling. It was such a culture shock.
