It Takes Time

We live in a cul-de-sac in our neighborhood. After a house fire in 2008, we started getting to know our neighbors better. By the end of 2011, my husband and I had become really good friends with the couple directly across the street from us. ugh. although I have not had the same experience, but I have so had experiences where " I haven't been able to step out of my home without obsessing over her and what happened."

So sorry you had to experience this. You were only doing what was natural and expected of you. It's sad and frightening that she held so much power over you as the actual victim. Glad to see you've reached that "new day" and are starting to move forward.

This was a great companion piece to alycewilson's.

lol I glossed over a lot of the crazy. There might have been reconciliation if not actual forgiveness, had we not pressed charges. Now, I am ruining 'her' life by making her take responsibility for her actions.
