Best of Miku

Now we come to the most popular Vocaloid, Miku! Miku was the first of the Vocaloid2 programs. She was realeased on August 31, 2007 and her voice is sampled from Saki Fujita. She has a higher voice than Meiko, but a lower voice than Rin. I'm afraid that this list may be quite long. Oh, and there'll be mood wiplash (Going from a happy ( Read more... )

Sleep? What is this 'sleep' that you speak of? heavyarms December 17 2009, 16:55:08 UTC
I tried, I really did, but I just couldn't watch/listen to them all at once! "OTL I'm guessing it's partly because I'm not much of a Miku fan (her high-pitched voice doesn't work for me), but--but--but--(you can tell that "Francium" is still messing up my head ( ... )

Man, "Twilight Circus" was definitely one of the best ways to use her voice. It's mild and mellow without losing that cuteness. I love it. Why is it that the best Vocaloid songs tend to be the most disturbing? This vid's pretty subtle, and kind of playful with its use of accordion and piano music, circus motifs, and dolls. But of course the latter two things tend to bring about a certain creepy to the atmosphere. So I'm not sure how to see this one--besides it being a great vid and song--should I think of it as tragic, or creepy? Or morbidly amusing ( ... )

I think Twilight Circus is supposed to be both tragic and amusing, but it is disturbing as well.

Saihate is actually a goodbye song to a lover that has died. It's a really sad song when you think about it, but this version of it is very upbeat. Other covers of it have the potential to make one cry.

I think the song name is "Youthful Days' Graffiti", but now that you mention it, Youthful Days' does sound like a band name. If it is just a cover version, I can't find the original. -shrug- Oh, and I'll fix that link! XD ( ... )

I told you it was impossible to sit through them all. ;P

I think I'm going to back an organize them into a more coherent fashion. I compiled the list over several nights and I was kind of tired when I did it. XD

I think the Black Rock Shooter anime is going to be really good. The video itself is interesting and opens up a lot of possibilities for the character. And her gun is amazing. I hope that it is going to be about a dystopia. I've always loved the books that we have to read in English class like that.

Don't worry, it isn't just your imagination. There is a trend of ironic songs. Many of them are group songs (Which I'll get around compiling). If you want to be really freaked out, search "Circle You". I watched it once and it really creeped me out. And I actually enjoyed Alice Human Sacrifice ( ... )
