His name floats across his bare skin, sounding light, but felt heavy with posession. Edward's arms were the same way--holding Seth carefully, as if the werewolf's skin burned him, but strong enough to keep him there...to hold Seth together. Seth could only think of arms that held him once before that were as hot as his body--
"Adoration is the state furthest from understanding," Edward whispered.
Seth snorted,pulled away from Edward, and left the room. He was shaking; Edward heard the swears against his name as Seth hit the back door and fled into the forest. Seth would come back when the running wasn't enough and the howling had taken his voice. Edward was still in this process...because he had lied(though lies could never heal the truth)when he told Seth he just wanted Bella's happiness even if it was with Jacob Black.
Yes, you're just as broken as he is, Edward.
