Bella dips her head as she kneels, eyes gleaming red in the darkness. "That it has. Times are different now."
Jane walks forward slowly, languidly, and traces a finger across Bella's cold marble cheek. "You've changed, haven't you? In more ways than one."
As delicate fingertips graze her skin, Bella tips her head back. "Perhaps." At this, Jane leans in and kisses the skin under her hands, blazing a trail from her neck to just below her earlobe.
"We'll be glad to have you," she whispers.
Bella straightens, leaning her head away from her. "Oh, you misunderstand... I'm not here to join you." Her eyes flash and her lips curve slightly.
Jane pulls away and stumbles backward, her confidence faltering.
Bella smiles.
