This wolf girl has been surrounded by her family of werewolves for so long she knows nothing else. It’s rare that she’s threatened by the supernatural.
Its how he’d been standing there watching her the entire time as she baked.
“It’s rare that a scent other than blood appeals to me,” he says, jovially, “But I must say, the smell of your muffins almost makes me remember what humanity was like.”
Aro laughs softly as he hears her heart freeze before pumping madly, the blood rushing, rushing, rushing through her veins. The metallic iron fills his senses and the muffins are long forgotten. He is by her side in seconds, his expression serene but his eyes black.

Aro is so cold and creepy yet shows that little allusion to humanity that makes it all so much worse. And Emily, oh, I cry for her, she's so sweet and innocent and trapped like a rabbit. Oh, this is so good, Evey.
